Our criminal justice system is built around rehabilitation, not meting out punishment and enforcing prolonged, for-profit imprisonment like the American system. If you think Canada is corrupt, I encourage you to look at how crime is handled down south and reconsider your position. It's not perfect, but it could be a hell of a lot worse for society as a whole.
