Even in Florida with Knight being there Bob still gets a ton of rope and games. I think that may be in part because of injuries to Knight, but also because coaches (in all sports) tend to be much more conservative than fans when it comes to rookies versus vets.

Look up north. They did it. Vegas did it with Thompson after only 20 games the season before. Swayman split starting duties with Ullmark in 21-22. Oettinger split with Khudobin his first season. Ryan Miller had a cup of coffee and then the next season took over the starting net from Biron.
