Burned out is a broad excuse. Burned out by the market or the GM role in general? My belief it was the market. He was tired of being here. But not tired of the work. I think he leaps at the Leafs job if offered.

Maloney/Bean sold it as if he was burned out by being a GM.

So yes I agree the past 12 months were tough but I think he enjoys a challenge but was sick of the particular challenges Calgary presented.
