If that's case, I wonder what kind of word trickery he will use. Another club isn't going to want to hire someone who said just a few weeks ago that he was burnt out, especially not the Leafs. Saying you left because you didn't want to work within the parameters your employers set doesn't sound like a great answer either, especially considering that the Leafs front office operates in a similar way.
There was smoke about Treliving going to Toronto all season long. It seems like a lot of people were predicting that it might be his intention to leave the Flames for Toronto. It will be interesting to see if that indeed plays out.
