Ok, who are the top candidates? Serious question.
For many here there is some personal top candidates based on....whatever, from what they heard through the media, becuase other teams don't want to lose people.
For others top candidates are simply the ones that don't come here.
Dubas is really the only one out there, and he's not interviewing in Pittsburgh or Calgary. Bergevin has had success as a GM and helping in LA and he's interviewed in both. Etc etc
First time potential candidates in guys like this Tulsky and the AGM in Toronto have very specific backgrounds, and then, worked within varying levels of authority and different dynamics and structure of relationships with others in their organizations...so it's very hard to say who would be a good fit here or any other organization if there isn't actual NHL GM experience to back up credentials. They may do well but with no degree of certainty can any fan know how those supposed guys that don't want to come here would fit in the Flames or anywhere else...so are they really top candidates?
