I feel i am a big Sutter apologist, but he needed to go. He, just like other old coaches, had a shelf life. Wish he was more willing to adapt to the new players but he didn’t. Stubborn doesn’t go far.
I didn't think Ruzicka was playing well at all. He got some stats thanks to the work of other players but he wasn't creating much himself and his play away from the puck was awful. Maybe there is an argument to play him because he is young and we need youth in the team but from a quality standpoint he is not a good NHLer at this point in his career.

Decent? Maybe but that is far from impressive. I agree he was better with them than Kadri but I don't think either was a good fit or what you would want from Hubredeau long term. I think linemates for him is a big issue we need to figure out going forward and I don't think the answer is on the team right now or in the system.

I think that Sutter may have needed to go and didn't grossly mismanage the team. Both things can be true. Him having a shelf life and not being a good fit for these players doesn't change the fact that the roster is the biggest issue with the team. That the lack of talent is a bigger issue than any coaching mismanagement. Trying to put the blame on coaching gross mismanagement is silly and factually untrue. Sutter was far from perfect but also far from the biggest issue.
