There can be some nuance to acknowledge that being critical of the O&G industry in general doesn't need to be taken personally by everyone in the province.

We have derived a ton of benefit from resource exploitation here, but it doesn't mean we should continue to bend over backwards at every step to continue our absolute dependence on it.

We've been over this. A $ is a $. A lot of gov't operational spending is essentially non-tangible capital spending (oxymoron, I know). If you can't understand the reasons for maintaining operational spending despite a resource downturn, that's on you.

It's just funny to see you muster some rationalization for Smith in her plight of having no good choices when dealing with her totally unlucky bozo eruptions...but you've never engaged in good faith with the same "what was she supposed to do?" argument for Notley's predicament.
