As for bike damage I’d also be asking if the frame has one obviously damaged area, could there be others and how safety critical are they? I would suggest visiting a couple bike shops and get one of the long term Managers opinions. If you need names of specific people at Bow Cycle PM me.
Thanks Richie. Mentally I am definitely a lot more wary and staying on paths only, whereas before I was pretty adamant about cycling on roads whenever possible. Definitely some PTSD/trepidation there. Mainly I want to get back into shape and am looking to fix or get a new bike.

I spoke to a few people on the floor at bike shops but they've mainly said they are not carbon experts and I need to talk to a specialist carbon bike repairer.

If you know someone specifically at Bow Cycle that might have experience in this area, that would help. I will PM you.

Also to everyone else, thanks for the well wishes and advice on Stick Fix. They do advertise minor carbon bike repairs but it may just be cosmetic and not actually for a frame that has.a seat stay crack like the one in my ankle.
