It’s weird to hear people blame this on fire suppression.
If you spend any time in the mountains it’s so obvious that it gets super dry, which enables forest fires.
It’s getting worse as we have hotter days, hotter nights, less frequent rain, often less total rain in summer months, and same amount of lightning.
The heat and lack of rain impact enormous tracts of forest, leading to enormous forest fires.
