It isn't a deciding factor for most people on where to play or live. Lifestyle, quality of workplace, ability to win, and especially total salary dollars play a much bigger role on where to sign (unless you are Gaudreau of course).

I think hockey players do rent a lot. But moreover I dont think players think about taxes in very sophisticated ways, when you hear them talk. They look at what the cheque is (and property taxes aren't on there).
