Now, I don't want a player "friendly" coach. I want a player respectful coach who listens and take their concerns into account and, if he doesn't agree, can explain it without being a dick.

A good coach doesn't need to be a pushover. He to be firm but fair where players all know where they stand with him. A coach that has an open door policy at his office where players aren't too intimidated to discuss issues face to face.
