Tkachuk wasn’t even the star of this series. Bobrovsky was probably their number one star of the series, and I would say even Bennett was more impactful than Tkachuk most games. They won this series on goaltending and depth, and keeping the Leafs' big names off the scoresheet.
Sad for Gio. Would have loved to see him keep going. He's clearly still a smart and driven player, but his play is matching the grey in his beard a bit. Hopefully he gets one more kick at the can next year. From undrafted to Norris winner with a stretch of play in Russia in-between is already an amazing story, but it would be even better if it were capped off with a cup win into retirement.

I would say your top 3 players not really producing the entire series is the definition of 'going down without a fight.'
Toronto woke up today with the realization that they have $30 million tied up in 3 players that can't produce at a higher level come playoff time.
Not sure how they'll solve that problem.
