It's easy enough for them too get around this "promise", too. They can privatize and sell off hospitals while still using tax dollars to pay for services. They give us health spending accounts, so you are not technically paying,(but building a great financial relationship with your doctor in the process). If they want to pretend to have scruples, they may even hold the lien on this for 4 years(highly doubt) before going the rest of the way. But she also clearly says "
It means that a UCP government, under my leadership" leaving a pretty big loophole(not that any of this is legally binding, so really who cares).
Just remember, a vote for the UCP is also a vote for TBA, and their vision of Alberta's future, with Smith there or not.
