I know Covid is over and no one wants to talk about it anymore, but why are we doing so poorly?

There has to be4 more to those numbers than meets the eye. On first glance we are on par with Saskatchewan and Quebec but behind BC, Manitoba, and Ontario on a per capita basis. I didn't do the math for the maritimes. So why are a few provinces significantly different than some others, and it's a pretty equal split.
