No, that was a huge single-elimination tournament with 145 total contestants.

The Masters tournament only has 6 players competing. It's set up so they will play through every lineup combination possible with 6 players -- which apparently is 14 total games.

It is not a total money tournament. Each game is independent, and the winner of a game gets 3 points, second place gets 1, and third gets 0.

After they've worked through all the combos, the top 4 players will advance to a semifinal, which will play out over 4 games (again mixing through every 3-player combo possible). The scores will reset for the semis and the top 3 will advance to the Finals.

The Finals will be 2 games.

The 6 players are the 3 finalists from last year's Tournament of Champions (Amy, Andrew, Sam), plus the 3 players with the most games won in regular play (excluding Ken and Amy), who are Matt, James, and Mattea.

The plan is for this to be an annual event, where the 3 finalists from one year will return the next and the other 3 spots will be given to that year's ToC winner, plus there will be a qualifying tournament for one spot, and the final spot will be reserved for a special invitation.

There will be 20 total games, with 2 games airing back-to-back to make up 10 hour-long episodes. Four episodes will air this week (M,T,W,F) and three episodes will air the following 2 weeks (M,T,W).
