Definitely no to Gallant

Gallant is 2.x years average at multiple stops

Gotta think the Flames do not want another 2 year coach

Here are the current longest tenured coaches. Obviously these guys have been pretty successful, which helps

Jon Cooper - Tampa Bay - 3/25/13
Mike Sullivan - Pittsburgh - 12/12/15
Jared Bednar - Colorado - 8/25/16
Rod Brind'Amour - Carolina - 5/18/18
Craig Berube - St Louis - 11/19/18

Lots of other names on the coaching carousel have had significantly longer tenures

Maurice has had long tenures in general. A 10 year stint in Hartford/Carolina and 9 years in Winnipeg
Laviolette is good for 5 ish years per stop
Lindy Ruff had a very long tenure in Buffalo then 4 years in Dallas

Gallant’s short shelf life is too big of a red flag
