This point is getting missed a lot.
A lot of people around the Panthers said that Huberdeau had that superstar vibe around him and wanted to be the guy. They talked about how he was a skinny kid who put in thr work to get bigger and wanted to win.
He even said when he came here how watching the Panthers get spanked by Tampa changed his views and he wanted to commit to playing two way hockey and being playoff ready. Being playoff ready doesn't mean a coach who mishandled you and treats you like crap.
It really goes back to star players being treated like stars and allowed to showcase their skills. Sutter doesn't like that stuff and destroyed his confidence.
I bet we see a different Huberdeau next season and guys like Spurs Manhattanboy and Burning Red in line to get Huberdeau jersey.
