And the funny part is I've always though Philly and Calgary were NHL twin cities and this would make it even more true.
Philly always tries to contend, never gets high picks, and has to stare as biggest rival Pittsburgh gets handed generational talents.
Calgary always tries to contend, never get high picks, and have to stare as biggest rival Edmonton get handed generational talents.
Flyers fans had to watch a warm climate West coast team win the cup in 11-12 as two fan favourites in Richards and Carter played a huge role in LA winning as an 8 seed.
Flames fans now have to watch a warm climate East coast team go on a run in the playoffs in 22-23 as Tkachuk and Bennett play a huge role for the Panthers as an 8 seed.
The parallels of the two teams always seem to be interlocked.
