Same for me - I'm a 12 and I hit my 5 iron 190 as well. But if I play 6800+ yards, I won't break 90.
IMO, most golfers play too far back, and thus shoot in the 90s or 100s, which contributes to slow play.
I like the rule whereby if you can't break 80, move up until you can. The game is supposed to be fun, not a torture test.
