Nuge has played 30 mins 5 on 5 with McDavid and 21 mins with Leon. Only 46 seconds with both.

Nuge has been on the ice for 0 5 on 5 goals for playing with 1 or the other or both. The Edmonton radio guys call him a 100 point guy. lol he's still just a mooch off the other 2 and he's dragging them down this playoffs.

I agree with your point when Leon and McDavid play together. They usually play 25 mins a night in close games. That's 35 mins where neither are on the ice. I think they are better off playing those 2 apart but if they load up a line I think it's stupid that they also play Kane or Hyman with them. That leaves 3 very bad lines.

If I'm coaching and put McDavid with Leon, I'm creating a line of Nuge - Hyman - Kane. That's the only hope of having secondary scoring.

But you are right, they are more likely to go all the way with the big 2 apart. They just get caught up on how the big 2 dominate together but your not winning giving up 6 goals and getting out played badly at 5 on 5
