I can't see him getting less than $8M AAV, especially with the comps that were posted. He's better than all of them with the exception of Zibanejad.
If you normalize his numbers during his time as a Flame, he's a 25G 71PT Selke level center. You gotta pay for that kind of player.
If you can somehow convince him to sign for <$8M AAV, more power to you, I just can't see it happening.
