Would you be sharing the same tune if this was implemented or used by a future conservative government looking to regulate content you watch or listen to? If people would be scared of this bill being used for nefarious reasons by a future opposing government in the future, they should be scared of this being used by the current government.
Yet apathy reigns on. |
And I suspect if the any government uses this to slant coverage to whatever direction - people would annoyed. But like on TV and radio - it will probably just give show a bunch of lame Canadian YouTube videos or Netflix shows and generate the odd good ones.
