Couldn't imagine trading Andersson.
Let go:
Lucic
Lewis
Richie
Retain:
Stecher
Philips
Trade Pieces (Not saying trade all of these guys, and only trade if the deal is worthwhile)
- Toffoli - sell high. With his contract he will bring back a decent return
- Hanifin - He will have priced himself off the roster next year. Trade him this year where the value of his contract will help with the return.
- Tanev - I don't want to trade him, but you have to explore it right now I think. He's getting older, has a lot of miles, and will still bring in a decent return.
- He shows glimpses, but I see him as a potential sweetener to land a bigger fish.
- Mangipane: Like the player, but not the contract.
- Zadorov: same thing. Like the play, but the contract is a bit high
- Vladar: You aren't trading Markstrom. I think he bounces back anyway. Wolf needs to come up, so Vladar is the odd man out.
Would be amazing to target someone like Konecny. Maybe Philly would see some interest in a Hanifin + Dube + Prospect / Pick for Konecny + Provorov.. One can dream.
Huberdeau-Lindholm-?
Mangiapane -Kadri- Phillips
Pelletier-Backlund- Coleman
Ruzicka -Dube -Duehr
?
Andersson-Weegar
? -Tanev
Zadorov-Stecher
Gilbert
Markstrom-Wolf
I also can't help but wonder if The Avs might now be interested in Kadri at $5M. If the Flames pay $2M, maybe someone like Newhook could be a target. I'm not as down on Kadri as some though... But his contract is likely to age poorly.
Mitch Love as coach & Conroy as GM.
