Surely even you see a difference between private and free enterprises manipulating feeds, and a government looking to do the same?
Would you be sharing the same tune if this was implemented or used by a future conservative government looking to regulate content you watch or listen to? Maybe one with Danielle Smith at the helm forcing all social media sources to promote Smith approved Canadian news content like Rebel news to stay online? So why is this good?

The Liberal government has maintained it doesn’t intend for C-11 to capture user content, such as YouTube or TikTok videos Canadians and digital creators post, but rejected a Senate amendment that would have specified in the law that user-generated content is excluded.

Liberals basically said "Trust us we know what's best for you? And we don't intend to go after you...but we leave the door open to do so"
If people would be scared of this bill being used for nefarious reasons by a future opposing government in the future, they should be scared of this being used by the current government.
Yet apathy reigns on.
