Oddly enough I've seen that the show was called 'Beasties' in Canada due to trademark issues but every memory I have it is being called 'Beast Wars' -- very strange.

Beast Wars was made by the same Canadian company, Mainframe, that made Reboot.
I was a bit old to truly enjoy Beast Wars when it came out, but did rewatch it later. I found the show a bit slap-sticky to enjoy as an adult, but the sequel "Beast Machines" was solid, although probably too philosophical for most kids.
