Secondly, being the trailblazer certainly makes headlines, but if things don't work out early on does anyone have the ability to terminate her or does she get more rope than necessary because of the obvious? I know it's a controversial statement but it's the reality. With a team looking to develop talent this could be one of their most important hires for years to come. They have to get it right. If she's the right person so be it but I'm hesitant to be the trailblazer in this case, because I don't think she would be the best candidate.

The the first bolded...ooof. You just said she thinks too slow for the men's game because she's a woman coaching in a different league. I'm pretty sure that anyone can watch and understand how games are played despite the league they are in.
To the second bolded...double oof. Literally saying she wouldn't get fired because it would be, what, an affirmative action hire and not based on merit? Prone to bad PR?
I don't know what decade you're living in, but it isn't this one.
