It really is. The Bruins didn't want to get rid of Cassidy because he's a really good coach but they realized that keeping him meant losing players so they made the difficult decision and the players rewarded management with their best regular season ever. It's borderline unfair to even hold Sutter's future over the head of the incoming GM as it would be best if Maloney fired Sutter himself so they could start clean with a new GM and coach. That's what a normal franchise would do when dealing with a toxic situation like this.
