If you backpack out far enough you can get even better surroundings than that first image out here.
Of course campsites that are next to a highway are crowded, cramped and hardly an outdoor experience.
If I go camping, the last place I would do it is a popular lot that's highly accessible and that RVs are allowed.
I've seen some crazy campsite locations in my travels here. But the beautiful ones require effort & prep.
