I knew this series was over when the Kings blew that 3-goal lead, went up again, and then let in a softy not one but twice (3rd period and OT). Disappointing to say the least. The worst part is their bottom 6 is contributing a hell of a lot more than I thought they'd be. Everyone's clicking. Momentum is everything in the playoffs, and the Oilers are feeling it.
Reminds me when the Flames were dominating Colorado for the first 1.8 games in 2019, and the minute MacKinnon scored that OT goal in game 2 the Flames had zero chance of coming back. That OT goal gave the Avs life.
Another example that comes to mind is the 2014 Kings, when they reverse swept the Sharks in the first round and grinded out a 2014 cup.
