This is absurd.
My paycheque has already been deposited. I see it right there in my bank account. I can clearly afford a new 80" TV. In fact, I think I'll buy two, as I have enough money in my bank account. There will be absolutely no opportunity cost from me spending 98% of my paycheque on those TVs, since I already have the money, like I said, right there, in my bank account. The money is there. If I don't spend it now, I'll probably just have to spend it later on groceries or Turkish baby tylenol or something. But since I have access to the money, right there in my bank account, already deposited, I will proceed with the TVs with no further consideration.
