Ever try booking any campgrounds? Or finding rec sites? The BC sites website is the worst ####ing thing I’ve ever used, campgrounds cater to big RVs while failing to have web service that wasn’t last updated by the soviets in 1996 and all around ‘vacation’ planning is way more frustration than the ‘vacation’ is relaxing.

North American campsites are the worst. They’re designed to appease the people that want their own private spot, but it’s a horribly inefficient use of land. Just make them so put your tent where it will fit in a field. I was thankful for the low stress level of camping in Iceland. It was so open you didn’t need to worry about ever finding a spot.
