The first deal was fair IMO, and it was obvious they would have been better off eating that $25M for solar panels and roads instead of reneging on the deal. Especially since the Flames had agreed to pay the overrun for the original deal. M
Now instead of ~$350M from the initial deal the city is on the hook for $500M+.
I'll be honest spending $1.2B and not getting a new stadium out of it too kind of stings. I would love to see if they could get something similar to Juventus stadium that was posted for around $300M.
I've been to that stadium and it's not fancy but was super practical and was a good stadium.
