His comments was that his dog attacking someone would represent a failure as an owner/trainer and that it also means that the dog was not taught well enough not to be a danger to society. He also mentioned that if it attacked his kids, he might end up killing it with his own two hands as a protective instinct to his family. "It's a pit bull, there's a possibility you might actually have to grab something to kill it to actually get it to stop, if it goes out of control."

That's a crazy mentality to have. But props to him.
At least he's mentally covered all of his bases before jumping into pit bull ownership. Many jump in without even being prepared for the possibility of a worst case scenario.
