Pardon my ignorance on Pascall, but when you have the best players to choose from in hockey canada, I don't think you can call yourself a great exec. Personally I agree with Maloney's assessment that it needs to be someone younger, have those management attributes, but more than that is skilled in understanding how statistics and hockey intersect. The challenge with Conroy I see, is people taking advantage of him. I don't see him as a guy who can wear multiple hats at different times. He's a good guy who may put his foot down at times, but when times require a little strong arming, I'm not sure if he has that capability. I also think it should be someone who has been GM before because right now there's nobody to show the ropes. This is a really pivotal moment, and choosing someone internally to be is a tough sell. You're telling me Conroy or anyone internal is the best possibility? Just not sure.
