He's not the president of hockey operations. He's the CEO of a business organization which the Flames happen to be a part of. He makes no hockey decisions. He probably has input on budget decisions that affect the Flames, which makes sense and is probably common practice among people in similar positions in other organizations.

My main question is that why do we have an accountant as the forefront of an NHL team?
