I have a buddy who just retired from being a Sr Special Agent in the FBI. Very distinguished career. Took down some heavy hitters.
Before he went to Quantico, he was an Accountant, working for a bank.
Point is, most people in leadership positions start as boring Accountants, Engineers, Lawyers etc.
