Depends on the manager. Jay Feaster getting fired fell more in to that category, but Tree was here for a long time and represented the city and team well, so for many people he was elevated to being far more than a faceless bureaucrat responsible for the goings-on of the team. Players aren't volunteers either, yet there we are with our cheesy highlight videos for them every time they return to the dome with another team for the first time.
