I'll never understand why the Flames' coaches are routinely destroyed in this place, yet the GM who hires all these coaches and picks all players to execute his vision gets a free pass. Even ownership gets dumped on here more than the GM I find. I will never understand this place.

I feel like he built a beast ass team. If Tkachuk and Gaudreau and O.K. were still playing here, we would be really good, with some great prospects filling the few holes the team had. D was pretty solid, we have Duehr, Pelletier, Coronato, Philips, Zary, etc. All ready to fill in. I personally think the team would have been incredible.
Alas, a perfect storm occurred, yes, somewhat self-inflicted but far from anticipated. Now everything is changed and the negatives are magnified greatly. He did a damn good job and was right on the edge of success. This season he realized the curve ball that occurred basically put him in the position to start back over again. Perfect time to leave IMO. Sad though.
I just hope we get someone genuinely GOOD at their job again.
