Maybe, but it still doesn't mean that Treliving was forced to go all in to win now because of ownership. I don't think anyone here knows for sure, but there is a lot of runaway speculation that ownership dictates only one path, and I am starting to think that may not be 100% accurate.
Bean said (paraphrasing); "there was an opportunity to rebuild and we would have", not "could have", which still sounds to me like there was some will to rebuild above Treliving's level (assuming Bean speaks for Edwards), rather than it just being a theoretical possibility that was not really a consideration.
