And try to build a management team and coaching staff that will work together to grow the franchise together.

Jon Cooper didn't win until his 8th season in Tampa and worked with Yzerman/Brisebois to help build that roster.

Jared Bednar didn't win until his 6th season in Colorado, and worked with Sakic/MacFarland to help build that roster.

From a management perspective that would be my plan - and that group can decide what to do with Lindholm, Hanifin, Tanev, Backlund, Toffoli, Zadorov, and Kylington as upcoming UFAs.

This has become my preference as well.
