Sure Conroy was/is a nice guy and a good player, neither of those have anything to do with being a good GM.

Is that the role of today's GM though? I'm not saying it is or it isn't, but you can have AGM's that can handle a lot of that stuff while the GM is truly the architect of the team as well.
The one thing you can give to Conroy is that he's paid his dues, knows what it's like in an NHL dressing room, and certainly absorbed a lot of what you shouldn't do when running a team lol. With Feaster and Treliving it seems at times there has been to much of the go get good players mindset, without enough of the do they fit what we're doing here.
