Markstrom absolutely had better goals saved above expected as well as wins above replacement. That is a statistical fact. You know what gets a team more wins? A better WAR and GSAA stat.
I don't care who got more starts against "crappy" teams and how you think that would have some direct correlation to their stat lines. Many ways to interpret that and other factors to consider. And when one goalie starts 72% of games of course they are going to see more "crappy" opponents.
Markstrom was not good past year. Vladar was worse.
