As I mentioned earlier I have leaned into the NBA playoffs which are very entertaining in my opinion. With the NBA/NHL seasons running fairly parallel there are a couple of cities hoping for long runs in both:
Boston - 1st overall in the NHL, 2nd in the East and 2nd overall in the NBA
Denver- 1st in the central, 2nd in the west in the NHL, 1st in the West 4th overall in the NBA
LA has the Kings, Clippers, Lakers all in the playoffs
New York has the Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Islanders, Devils all in
Minny has the Wild and Timberwolves both in
The Miami Heat and Florida Panthers are the 8 seed in both sports
Cities with both sports and only 1 team in:
Toronto NHL the made it but lost the play-in for the NBA
Dallas made it in NHL and missed in the NBA
Phoenix made it in the NBA and missed in the NHL
Golden State made it in the NBA but the Sharks missed in the NHL
Philadelphia made it in the NBA but missed in the NHL
Teams that made it who do not have both sports:
Edmonton, Winnipeg, Las Vegas, Seattle, Carolina, Tampa in the NHL
Memphis, Sacramento, Cleveland, Atlanta in the NBA
