Kirk I think is a good catcher but he also missed a bunch of time in spring training and that didn’t help.
I also think Manoah had never had good conditioning and relied on time to rest between pitches. He doesn’t have easy velocity like Gausman or Kikuchi so I think the reduced time hurts him.
