Colour matching paint in a 12 year old house, and the original paint manufacturer (General Paint) isn’t around any more. We’ve taken in original Paint codes, leftover paint, chunks from the wall, etc. and no one can get a perfect match. We tape up all sorts of samples and watch as the light changes, think we have the perfect match, order and try it. Nope, never the same.

Chip in a wall means ignoring it, or filling and repainting the whole wall.
