Countries like Germany have a higher degree of respect for the trades. They don’t funnel kids “struggling” with academics into the trades, they recognize the strengths of the person and teach them accordingly. Some people are meant to move on to university, some are meant to move on to the trades, and others aren’t cut out for either.
