They had 2 separate stints together and in my opinion, they looked terrible in both.
To me, I don't think they're a match made in heaven and I knew right from the start that they wouldn't gel. Lindholm isn't the type of center that pushes the pace or dominates play through the middle of the ice, he along with Toffoli check for their chances which is not an area that Huberdeau excels at.
Conversely, that's why Lindholm worked so well with Gaudreau, Johnny pushes the pace especially through the middle of the ice and is able to hold on to pucks and make plays which allowed Lindholm to find quiet areas of the ice to unleash his one timer in the slot.
If Huberdeau wants to produce with Lindholm and Toffoli next season, then he needs to up the pace of his play, develop a stronger stick, close gaps quicker on the forecheck and be tougher along the boards/wall.
