Yes it has Cali. I think the biggest difference is 60 points. The Canucks and Oilers played each other in the 1st round in 1986. In that same playoff year, the Flyers and Rangers had a 32 point gap and the underdog Rangers won the series.
There was that series in 2019 where the BJs swept the Lightning. That was a 30 point difference and the first time the President's Trophy winner was swept.
