One thing that I don't see being considered very much here is the possibility that management, coaches, and players might be able to work out a new understanding and approach after this season's failure

We all speculate that Sutter is unwilling or unable to change how he operates, but honestly I don't know if you can be a Hall of Fame coach if you're incapable of adapting

My feeling is that Sutter did not believe in the team assembled by Treliving and decided that they needed to play like a low skill team that would do everything to control the puck and win without relying on individual skill and creativity. But that didn't fit with the roster that Treliving put together or with the personalities of the players brought in.

Maybe Sutter can hear from the GM and the players and realize that he tried to fit a square peg into a round hole and change things up?
