People around the league tend to really like him and think he's done a good job with the hand he's been dealt.
There are only 32 jobs - so it's never easy to find a GM job, but all the noise has been that he won't have an issue finding another job if he leaves.

Agreed if Treliving did not think or know he has other options that might be more attractive he would likely already be extended (considering Francis confirmed he turned down an offer earlier this year).
TSN/SN was gushing over the summer of Brad and he was called an elite GM by the Eastern Canadian media. I think most of the negative narratives around the Flames this year has been Sutter related and Treliving has received a pass so far. Most even think Sutter is where he is because of the owner not Treliving.
I think Pittsburgh, Toronto and other markets will look at him when things go wrong. Burke hired Treliving before so I look at that situation with Hextall likely getting fired this offseason.
